COVID & Health Policy
The comfort, health and safety of both our guests and our staff is important. Please take a moment to read through our COVID and health policies.
Our massages are carried out indoors, with private rooms for full body massages. You will, obviously, be in close proximity to your massage therapist. You will also probably pass close to other staff or guests as you move through the reception area or hallway (e.g. to use the toilet facilities).
If you are sick, you will not enjoy your massage and only risk passing your illness to others. For the protection of our guests and staff, if you are unwell or suffering from Covid, please cancel or reschedule your appointment (within 2 hours of the appointment start time, to avoid a late cancellation fee).
Is it okay to have a massage with a cold?
Yes, a mild illness like a cough or cold shouldn't be an issue. For anything more serious, e.g. flu, stomach upsets, etc., it is best to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Will I have to wear a mask?
No, there are no longer any mandatory requirements for wearing a mask.
However, if you have a bad cough, cold or suspect you may have Covid, we would be grateful if you would consider wearing one.
What if I have a non-infectious skin condition?
Guests with non-infectious skin conditions, such as eczema, are welcome. However, although massage oil may seem soothing, we strongly recommend having our traditional Thai massage (performed through fabric without oil), if you have a widespread or severe condition.
If the skin is broken with evidence of active or recent bleeding, we will not be able to carry out a massage.
We understand that you will be familiar with living with whatever skin condition you may have, however we reserve the right to refuse treatment or insist on a specific form of treatment.
Massage and cancer treatment
If you have cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment, we would strongly recommend against our more intense massages, such as deep tissue. Instead, we recommend our aromatic massage, which is a more gentle treatment.
If you are in remission, with no active cancer or ongoing treatment, this restriction can be lifted. However, we recommend checking with your doctor. We reserve the right to refuse treatment if, in our judgement, we feel a massage would be inadvisable.
